Overview
The "Human Resources Level 3 (CPD) Diploma" course focuses on the key aspects of human resource management. It covers topics like recruitment, personnel records, staff management, training, and disciplinary procedures. The course is designed to equip learners with skills in recruiting and managing staff, maintaining personnel records, handling disciplinary issues, and understanding employment law. It's ideal for individuals aiming to enter HR roles or enhance their HR knowledge. The course structure includes six modules and is accessible to anyone with an interest in human resources, requiring no prior knowledge or experience in the field.
The Human resource departments are at the forefront of managing people and other resources within a business. To do this, a business needs a human resource specialist, someone who is skilled and up-to-date with the latest regulations, employment laws and policies.
Department leaders and managers are responsible for the effective day-to-day running of a business. It is the Human Resources (HR) Department that recruits, trains, supports and develops employees. They are also the department to whom others turn when there is a need for disciplinary or dismissal procedures required.
In larger businesses, there will be a separate department needed to manage the day-to-day processes within human resources but in smaller businesses, human resources is a responsibility often tagged onto to someone’s role. That someone could be you, especially after completing a Human Resources Diploma.
Our diploma has a broad base, allowing you to become familiar with all the necessary functions, skills and attributes of recruiting, training, developing, supporting and dismissing people;
- The recruitment, selection, and induction of staff is essential in bringing the right people into your organisation
- Producing and maintaining personnel records is important for your business and your employees
- Managing staff and relationships requires diplomacy and tact, along with other skills as detailed in this module
- Support, training, and development are key to ensuring the right people stay with your business and that they upskill so that your business can move forward
- When things go wrong, HR are the people to turn to for advice and action relating to disciplinary procedures, grievances, and tribunals
- And finally, terminating someone’s employment must be done correctly and within current employment law
